Compare GHK-Cu listings without losing the evidence context

GHK-Cu, uncomplexed GHK and finished cosmetic formulations are not the same comparison category. This page focuses on supplier listings identified as research GHK-Cu material.

Identity first

Confirm that the record identifies the copper complex rather than GHK alone, along with the expected peptide identity and labeled amount.

Normalize price

Common 50 mg and 100 mg listings should be compared separately or by price per mg. Formulated products should not be mixed with raw research material.

Inspect evidence

Review peptide identity, copper or complex information, purity, measured content and the lot-to-report connection.

How GHK-Cu is used in research

GHK is a naturally occurring tripeptide with affinity for copper ions. Experimental work has examined fibroblast behavior, collagen-related endpoints, inflammatory signaling, and tissue-remodeling models.

The copper complex and uncomplexed peptide are analytically distinct materials. Results involving GHK-Cu should not be assumed to apply to every GHK preparation or cosmetic formulation.

Evidence map

Research stage matters. Findings from one model should not be silently promoted to another.

Laboratory

Cell models have examined matrix production, signaling, and oxidative-stress endpoints.

Animal

Preclinical wound, lung-injury, and tissue-repair models have been reported.

Human

Topical/cosmetic literature exists, but broad clinical claims exceed the evidence.

What the evidence does not establish

Many proposed actions come from preclinical or formulation-specific studies, with substantial variation in model and exposure conditions.

Study findings also do not authenticate a supplier’s material. Biological plausibility, a familiar name, or a published paper cannot substitute for lot-specific identity and quality evidence.

Analytical and documentation checks

The test plan should match the exact molecule, modification, and research question.

  • Specify whether the sample is GHK, GHK-Cu, or another complex.
  • Confirm copper content and peptide identity with suitable methods.
  • Assess counterions, water, and assay separately from chromatographic area.

At minimum, connect the product name, sequence, sample identifier, lot, report, method, expected result, and observed result. Record untested attributes as “not reported,” not as assumed passes.

Regulatory status

GHK-Cu is not an FDA-approved drug. Cosmetic ingredient use is not the same as drug approval.

Regulatory status can change and attaches to specific products and jurisdictions. Verify current official records before publishing, procuring, or relying on a status claim.
