Compare KPV research suppliers
Listings now default to lowest tracked price per mg. The highlighted price badge is a catalog-price signal only, not a quality, safety, or documentation ranking.
The document count covers six basic checks. “Not found” means we could not confirm it from the public records we reviewed—not that the testing never happened.

How KPV is used in research
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val of α-MSH. Experimental studies have examined inflammatory signaling and transport through the PepT1 peptide transporter.
Frequently cited findings come from cellular systems and murine colitis models, not from an established human treatment program.
Evidence map
Research stage matters. Findings from one model should not be silently promoted to another.
Laboratory
Cell studies examine inflammatory mediators and peptide transport.
Animal
Murine colitis and inflammation models make up much of the evidence.
Human
Clinical evidence is insufficient to establish safety or effectiveness.
What the evidence does not establish
Model-specific anti-inflammatory findings do not establish a clinical indication, dose, route, or safety profile.
Study findings also do not authenticate a supplier’s material. Biological plausibility, a familiar name, or a published paper cannot substitute for lot-specific identity and quality evidence.
Analytical and documentation checks
The test plan should match the exact molecule, modification, and research question.
- Confirm the Lys-Pro-Val sequence and stereochemistry.
- Small peptides require methods capable of resolving closely related impurities.
- Verify content and counterion information separately from area purity.
At minimum, connect the product name, sequence, sample identifier, lot, report, method, expected result, and observed result. Record untested attributes as “not reported,” not as assumed passes.

Regulatory status
KPV is not an FDA-approved drug.
Regulatory status can change and attaches to specific products and jurisdictions. Verify current official records before publishing, procuring, or relying on a status claim.
